Your Skipper Porky
I have 30 years of local fishing and ocean experience. At the age of 18 I worked for my family’s business hiring out banana boats in the Whakatane River and Ohiwa Harbour.
Since then I have done various types of work on the water, some of which include; White Island tours, marine construction, dredging and surveying.
I have recently returned from a 7-month voyage which took me from Tahiti through French Polynesia to Pitcairn Island, to Chille then Antartica, The falkland Islands and South Georgia which was truly amazing.
I look forward to spending some time on the water with you all catching fish and telling tales.
Te Kaha Katt II
Te Kaha Katt II is a 7 metre Alluminium Catamaran powered by twin 90 hp Yamaha Motors. Built to survey by Q West in Whanganui for 1 – 8 passengers. Her last survey was completed in July 2020 and comes with all new certified safety equipment. We are an approved charter business and meet all MNZ safety standards. Being a catamaran, she has a comfortable and very stable fishing deck and a toilet in the forward cabin.
